Leading with enthusiasm, passion and professionalism, Billy Rousseau is the president of RJA Construction. After graduating from Texas Tech, he started a corporate finance job and realized it was not for him. The Dallas native relocated to Angel Fire, NM, where he worked with a residential custom builder and found his niche. “I immediately fell in love with the industry, working with my hands and learning every trade from the ground up,” says Rousseau.
Now, this Power Player leads his own residential construction company with a masterful team. “At RJA, we are a family, which includes our internal team members and our external family of architects, designers, supplier partners and homeowners. I enjoy collaborating with these talented team members to develop the best possible solutions to move our projects forward, producing the best possible results for our customers,” explains Rousseau.

Rousseau and his team employ these values in everything they do, exemplifying the company’s core values of leading with love, enthusiasm, accountability and discipline. Rousseau credits God, his team and the generations before him for the success of RJA Construction. From his grandfather owning a Dallas printing company to his grandmother becoming a lawyer at age 45, Rousseau comes from a long line of vibrant citizens.
A family man through and through, Rousseau has been married to his wife, Chanda, for 11 years, and she works with him at RJA Construction. The pair have a talented 8-year-old daughter and a darling 7-month-old puppy. They’re active in their community, with Rousseau volunteering as a crossing guard at Hexter Elementary. The family is devoted to their relationship with Jesus Christ and honors this by being servant leaders.
With recent accolades in Modern Luxury’s Best Builders 2023 and the DHome Best awards, the future is bright for RJA Construction. Building on this momentum, they’re working on strategic growth to advance the firm while remaining true to their values.
